Patients often require advice on how to mobilise i.e. walk safely after injury or illness. Physiotherapists will assess what part of the walking pattern has changed after the injury or illness and advise on exercises to assist in returning the walking pattern to normal as well as advising if required on the most suitable walking aid to ensure that that mobility can continue safely.
These walking aids can be sticks crutches or frames. The Physiotherapists will do their best to provide the walking aid on the day of the assessment but on some occasions the equipment may be ordered and delivered to your home or an appointment will be arranged for you to collect it.
